Weekly Weigh-In 2/18/07

Since I’m finally feeling much better, it’s time to get back on track with my health goals. It’s time to start the weekly weigh-ins. I was totally shocked when I stepped on the scale this morning — 282.6 lbs.! I had to get off and get on again to make sure that wasn’t a fluke. By the end of the month, I’ll be under 280! I knew I was losing weight because my pants are getting big and my bra doesn’t fit anymore. I’m down almost 25 pounds from my highest weight.

Even though I’ve been sick, I’ve been trying to eat small amounts of food all day. I’m also rarely skipping breakfast, so that definitely helps.

Reasons for My Absence

So, I’ve had quite a lot going on in my life since I last posted and only one of those things being good.

Christmas was really depressing for me this year. I hate not having money to participate. Next year will be better. At least I didn’t gain any weight this year!

I’ve been sick for weeks, so my New Year’s resolution of diet and exercise went out the window. I think I’m finally kicking the bug, so next week I will get back to this in earnest.

My current weight is 287.2 lbs. At least I’ve been staying consistently under 290 for a bit.

I had to have my faithful companion of 13.5 years put to sleep right after New Year’s. That messed me up really good. One of my rabbits died yesterday. Too much grief so far this year.

I got offered full time at my job with $1/hr pay increase the same day my dog was put to sleep. Talk about a roller coaster emotional day. At least now I’m making some good money again and have less time to sit around moping.

There’s a weekly meme called Weight Loss Wednesdays that I would really like to join. Now that I’m starting to conquer the crud, maybe I can.
